Presidio picnics

San Francisco sunshine + food carts + live DJ + views of the bay & Alcatraz = recipe for an amazing Sunday.

I recently discovered San Francisco's  Off the Grid and I am hooked. What a great way to promote local small businesses and healthy food all in one. Their weekly picnics at the Presidio just started up again for the spring/summer season and if you haven't been then you should free up a Sunday, grab a blanket and some cash and get yourself out there! The live DJ was an added bonus and the husband and I realized that we knew all the songs he was playing because they were what we danced to in high school (Missy Elliot anyone? Remember her?). Which was amazing but also reminded me that my 10 year reunion is coming up (what?! that's a decade ago already???). 

We had fresh strawberry lemonade, fresh strawberries, gorditas from Nopalito and people watched like it was nobody's business.

P.S. Did I mention that they had roaming carts selling Mimosa Kits, buckets of beers & mason jars full of Bloody Mary's???
